My name is Jackie Little, and I feel blessed to have been given this opportunity to teach middle school ELA at CELA.
I graduated from Robert Morris University in 2009 with a B.A. in Business Administration. I went on to work several years in the Human Resources field while also coaching girls’ U14 and U16 ice hockey. During this time, I married my husband, Jonathan, and we began growing our family. We currently reside in Oconomowoc with our two daughters, Camryn and Reese, our rambunctious puppy, Bodhi, and our sassy senior cat, Tictoc.
Not long after Reese was born, I felt a strong calling to pursue my passion in education. I graduated with an M.A. in Secondary Education from Grand Canyon University and went on the teach English Language Arts as well as AP courses at the High School level.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, which includes watching my daughters’ dance recitals and hiking the local trails, coaching girls’ ice hockey, reading, and staying active.
I cannot put into words how excited I am to meet your children, help them to realize their potential and support them in achieving their goals. I am also eager to begin a partnership with you to ensure the success of your child. I am honored to have been given this opportunity and look forward to being a part of the CELA family.
“I have been a part of the CELA family for two years now, and I can honestly say that our students enjoy coming to school, which is a testament to the hard-working staff and the continuous improvements that are being made in our school. In the time that I have spent here I have witnessed a very dedicated and committed group of teachers. We all have the same objective, and that is to give the students the best possible education so they can succeed. I consider myself blessed to work with an administration that allows me to be as creative as I want with my language arts lessons. Furthermore, one who is supportive of all their teachers. One amazing benefit is the small class sizes. This allows me to meet all my students’ individual learning needs while also building a closer relationship with them. This helps me to understand them not only as a student but also as a person which then helps me to reach them on a deeper level. Another benefit is the real presence of Christian values. I enjoy the opportunity to attend chapel every Wednesday as well as the chance to help our middle school students become mentors to their chapel buddies. CELA is a great school to not only work at, but also send your children to. I know as my daughters both attends. As a parent, I enjoy the consistent feedback regarding my daughters’ education as well as the opportunity to partner with their teachers to assist in their continued success. I am fortunate to wake up every day excited to go to work knowing I am a part of something as positive and successful as CELA.”
