I am honored to be called to serve at CELA as the Director of School Operations. It is a blessing to work for an organization in which I share the same mission, vision, values and beliefs. My passion for academic excellence and leadership development built on a foundation of strong Christian values, makes this the perfect fit for me. It brings me so much joy to be able to lead in such a unique and special school and to provide children an educational experience that wraps these three crucial components into their school day and lives. A school that focuses on helping children learn and grow to become great leaders with strong Christian values is hard to find, and I am so grateful for this opportunity.

Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. - Proverbs 22:6

I have more than 25 years of experience working with children, families and the community as a teacher, counselor, mentor and leader, and 15 years of experience in school leadership and administration. I have always felt led to work with children and to make a difference in their lives, and for the last ten years I have served as principal at a high-achieving public school in the area. I am passionate about providing our children with a high-quality education and sharing the love of Jesus with them. I feel so fortunate to continue this work that is so incredibly close to my heart.

“Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’” -Matthew 19:14

I am currently taking a break from my doctoral work at UW-Madison, but education and learning is something that is very important to me -- I am always striving to learn and grow spiritually, personally and professionally.

My husband and I have been married for 23 years and are incredibly blessed with two beautiful daughters who keep us very busy. Our oldest will be a senior at Arrowhead High School this fall, and our youngest will be starting 4K. Although we never thought we would be starting over again, God had other plans for our lives and last April we adopted our four-year-old. She has been such a precious gift from God to our entire family. We have lived in the Lake Country area for more than 20 years and absolutely love it here. My parents, grandmother, my sister and her family all live nearby in Lake Mills. I am blessed to have my family close by -- they have played such a vital role in who I am today.

I am so excited to start my journey with the CELA family and cannot wait to see where God leads us as a school community!

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:5-6
