I am so excited to be joining the CELA family!  My name is Rebekah Cohrs and I have been teaching for over 14 years.  I have taught second, third, fourth, and fifth grade.

I graduated from Calvin University in 2004 with my elementary education degree and minors in fine arts and geography.

I started my teaching journey substitute teaching in Michigan and moved to Florida where I taught on Marco Island for 8 years.  During this time, I completed my ELL and gifted and talented endorsement along with my Master's Degree in Reading Education from Gulf Coast University.

I stayed home with my 3 young children for 7 years in Michigan and Wisconsin and then started substitute teaching and teaching again the past 4 years.  When I am not teaching, I am a busy mom who can be found watching my children play soccer, walking, hiking, spending time with friends and participating in church activities or reading.
