Hello, my name is Katie Bong and I am grateful and excited to be joining the CELA family as one of the 5K teachers! Ever since I can remember I have enjoyed learning new things and then teaching those new things to others. I spent the first part of my teaching career in the public sector, left after having our second child and followed God’s path to the faith-based childcare my children were attending. There, I had the opportunity to work with all ages daily in the classrooms and out. Not only did my love for children grow, but my faith was able to grow deeper as well. Now that my two children are in school themselves, it was time to get back to my roots. God opened the door to explore CELA and I could not be more thrilled to be in a Christian school that values faith, leadership, academics, and the importance of including family in all aspects.
In my spare time, I enjoy cooking for my family, baking, finding new spots to hike, trying new restaurants and diving into a good historical fiction.
I am beyond excited to start this new chapter and cannot wait to share the love of God and to watch your children grow in all aspects of their lives.
