God’s Hand led me to CELA and is greatly blessing my work here!

I grew up in Milwaukee and was honored to attend Ebenezer Lutheran School, Martin Luther High School, and then Concordia University in River Forest, Illinois. I graduated from Concordia with a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education and a major in math.

I spent the next 13 years as an administrative and executive assistant for various companies including GE Healthcare Systems and Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin.

When my youngest son started kindergarten, I volunteered in his classroom each day and loved it. I took a third-grade teaching job the next year and have been teaching ever since. God has called me to and blesses me daily in this career.

I have 23 years of volunteer teaching experience at church including Pre-K and Fourth Grade Sunday School, Youth Group, Vacation Bible School, and Adult Bible Classes.

My husband and I have lived in several different states over the years, but have recently returned to Southeastern Wisconsin to be close to my family.

We are proud parents of our grown children:

  • Whitney and Heath, who own a cat café in Chattanooga;
  • John Jr. and Chelsea, parents of our precious grandsons, Calvin, Archie, and baby arriving October, 2024;
  • Michael, who is a structural engineer living in Colorado;
  • Maxwell, father to more precious grandchildren, River and Weston.

When I’m not at work, I love to spend time with family and friends, practice yoga, walk my dogs, ride bikes with my husband, cook, and volunteer at church and in the community.

I consider it a privilege to be part of the Christ-centered community at CELA. With God’s guidance and your prayers, I look forward to upholding the mission and pillars that make CELA unique.

Thank you for sharing your children with me. They are among God’s greatest gifts. I look forward to partnering with you to make their fourth-grade journey a fabulous one!
