The dream of CELA is to provide a world-class academy that will combine the highest level of academic excellence with Christian values and leadership development to prepare leaders for the future in all walks of life. To accomplish this goal, CELA needs to be sustainable on an ongoing basis while being affordable to the student body. The vision of CELA also needs to be accomplished rapidly in order to be the success CELA wants it to be.
To provide the affordability, the approximately 60-acre campus along with the 170,000 square foot facility is being provided to CELA by the Nahey Charitable Foundation at a zero-cost triple-net lease, which allows CELA to provide an ongoing tuition credit of $5,000 for each student on an annual basis. This credit will be subtracted from the tuition, which has been set at $14,750 per student (in full-day 4K and 5K-8th grade) per year, resulting in a discounted tuition of $9,750.
Expansion Student Scholarship Program
The launching of the academy has been extremely successful and we owe much to our founding students and families who have established the credibility of the academy by demonstrating their ability to learn, lead and excel through the emphasis on CELA’s three pillars: Academic Excellence, Christian Values and Leadership Development.
To maximize the development, growth and opportunities of our students it is our desire to grow our CELA family of like-minded individuals, including staff, students, and parents. The vision for CELA and what can be accomplished with 21st century education will continue to thrive and impact more children and families as we grow. Having a homogeneous consistent body of students year to year will minimize distractions to the learning and cultural development process. With that goal in mind, a scholarship opportunity exists for new students enrolling in the 2017/2018 and the 2018/2019 academic years.
The co-founders of CELA, Brian and Nancy Nahey, are providing an Expansion Student Scholarship for each student newly enrolled in full-day 4K or 5K-8th grade for the 2018/2019 school year. This scholarship is in addition to the $5,000 ongoing Founder’s Credit from the Nahey Charitable Foundation. This scholarship is to reward the students and families who will continue to establish and enhance the performance and credibility of CELA. Each expansion student will continue to receive this yearly scholarship, which will be reduced by $400 each year, for as long as the student attends CELA. In 2018/2019 we are again offering this scholarship opportunity for new students and the Expansion Student Scholarship for each student will be $2,200.
See the following example:
4K Half-Day vs. 4K Full-Day
In addition to our normal half-day 4K session, we offer a full-day 4K session which has delivered outstanding performance. To read more about our exceptional 4K/5K programs, please visit our curriculum page.
All students enrolled in the full-day 4K program will be considered expansion students; therefore, they will pay the same expansion student rate as the other full-day students in 5K-8th grade and will receive the Expansion Student Scholarship which is $2,200 for the 2018/2019 school year. The tuition for the 2018/2019 school year for our half-day 4K session will continue to be $4,000 per student.
Updated Info for Founding Students/Families:
Founding Family Scholarship Program
A founding family is one who had a student enrolled at CELA in the founding academic year and who had additional children who were not yet old enough to enroll in CELA that year. The co-founders of CELA, Brian and Nancy Nahey, have provided a Founding Family Scholarship to reward the founding students and their families for establishing the performance and credibility of the academy. As the siblings of a founding student enroll in either full-day 4K or 5K at CELA, they will enter the Founding Family Scholarship Program at the current scholarship level for that given year. Each founding family student will continue to receive the yearly Founding Family Scholarship, which will be reduced by $400 each year, for as long as the student attends CELA. For example, if a sibling of a founding student enrolls in full-day 4K in the 2018/2019 school year, the scholarship available to both students from that family will be $2,800 and the net tuition for each student from that family will be $6,950.
