My name is Jessica Mazur and I am so thankful to be here at CELA teaching 5th grade. CELA has been such a blessing to my family and me, and I know it will be for your family, too.

I graduated from UW-Madison in 2003 with a B.S. in journalism and political science. Soon after that, I married my husband David, and had many adventures with him while moving around the country with the Air Force, including living in southern California, northern California, Ohio, and Indiana. It feels great to be settled back home in Wisconsin.

I worked in several capacities in journalism and the corporate world before leaving the workforce to take care of my children, Madeline, Jack, and Annabelle. As the kids grew older, I felt a strong calling to pursue a second career in education. I completed my Wisconsin teaching license through the Graduate Teacher Certification Program at Concordia University in 2015. I truly believe that God has used my life experiences to lead me where I am today, and I could not be more thrilled.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, attending Badger football games, reading, and being involved at my church.

I am so thankful for the opportunity to teach your children, and I value partnering with you as together we prepare your children to be strong, God-fearing leaders in our community and the world.

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” – Romans 12:2
