My name is Joyhannah Frisbie and I am excited to continue the art program at CELA!
I am originally from Iowa and received my bachelor’s degree in The Study of World Religions at the University of Northern Iowa. During my final year of college I felt compelled to continue my education after having my first experience exploring the visual arts with students at Price Laboratory School. I completed my second degree in K-12 Art Education in 2011.
After completing my student teaching at Graded - American School of Sao Paulo, Brazil, I moved to the Twin Cities area in Minnesota where I taught elementary art with an amazing specialist team for 8 years.
During summer breaks from teaching I have been able to combine my passions of traveling and working with children while visiting different orphanages in places such as Mongolia, the Philippines, and South Korea.
I had been hearing wonderful things about CELA from my own family for years and was blessed with the opportunity to join this team. I look forward to getting to know your children as we create together!
