I feel blessed to be teaching 4th grade at Christian Education Leadership Academy this upcoming year! After graduating in December, God opened doors and led me right to CELA. I began my work at CELA as a long-term substitute teaching 4th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade writing. I was lucky to also teach the Public Speaking elective, plan and record announcements for CELA, and assist with CELA’s Facebook page. I could see that CELA was a nice fit for me.
I realized my passion for teaching when I was in college. I began my education pursuing Speech Language Pathology. The summer after my second year, I volunteered to lead a Sunday School group. It only took a few Sundays for me to see that God had a different plan for my life. I loved teaching children about who God is and how they can know Him.
During my education at UW-Whitewater, I also had the opportunity to lead life groups on campus. I absolutely loved pouring into other college students and growing relationships with them. I am beyond excited to start every morning in the classroom teaching about God and worshiping Him.
In my free time I enjoy hiking, playing games outdoors, and cooking with my family and friends. I got married in October, and am blessed to start a new chapter of life with my husband!
I believe CELA is the right fit for me. I cannot wait to educate young minds and hearts in all areas of academics as well as Christian values.
