12 Years Experience Teaching Math at a High School Level, Focusing on Algebra and Geometry
My name is Sarah Recht and I am excited and blessed to be a part of the CELA team. I grew up in a small town called Edgar in central Wisconsin where I was active in the music and forensics programs. At a young age, I knew I loved children and wanted to teach so took on the task of Sunday School teacher during my middle school and high school years. After graduating high school in 1999, I moved to Mequon to attend college. I graduated from Concordia University Wisconsin in 2003 with a Bachelors Degree in Education, focusing on mathematics.
I truly love math and being able to convey the importance of math in everything around us. My belief is that students learn the best being able to explore as they learn as well as practice. I spent 12 years teaching math at the high school level - focusing on Algebra and Geometry. I am looking forward to moving into the middle school level, where I believe my real calling and passion lies. I am ready for the opportunity to work in a Christian setting to help foster the Christian values that I was raised with. I am eager to help prepare your students for success in high school while helping to foster a love of God in their hearts.
Currently, my family and I live in Menomonee Falls, I am married to my wonderful husband, David, and have 2 amazing children (Aaron and Grace). Outside of work I enjoy spending time outdoors, watching and attending Milwaukee Brewers games, photography, live music and anything that allows me time with my family.
I am honored to be able to be part of such a great team at CELA. The opportunity to work in a school that focuses on such high educational standards and emphasizes the importance of Christian values and leadership is uplifting. I know that God is leading us to do great things here.
