The Lord of hosts has sworn: “As I have planned, so shall it be, and as I have purposed, so shall it stand.” (Isaiah 14:24) So here I am. So here we are; just as the Lord, Our God, has planned. I am so grateful and honored to be a member of the CELA community as a first grade teacher.
I couldn’t be more excited about our school, our mission and our families. We are truly blessed to be a part of this extraordinary institution.
I’ve never doubted my calling to be a teacher. From the time I was young, I wanted to teach everything I knew to anyone (or any stuffed animal) who would listen. My favorite subject has always been reading. As a teacher, I have the opportunity and responsibility to inspire and support the academic, social and spiritual growth of our children. I am committed to developing meaningful relationships with parents and students within our CELA community. No doubt, this partnership will lead the way to each child’s success.
I was born and raised in the Chicagoland Area. After high school, I attended and graduated from National-Louis University (Evanston, IL) in 2003. I began my teaching career as a third grade Parochial School teacher in the Northwest suburbs. In 2005 I moved to Milwaukee and have spent the last ten years teaching in the Archdiocese. In addition, I married my wonderful husband (Bill) and built a built a beautiful, blessed life with our children: Dustin, Emma and Layla. I enjoy spending time with my family at home here in Lake Country or traveling, camping, reading, and being “the cookie mom” for Brownies.
I am filled with exhilaration as we prepare for the 2015-2016 school year here at CELA, a revolutionary vision that has come to fruition. I am filled with anticipation to open the doors and my heart to you and your family.
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11
