2002 – Institute on Political Journalism – Georgetown University, Washington, D.C.
2003 – BS in Journalism and Political Science from UW-Madison
2015 – Graduate Teacher Certification from Concordia University, WI
My name is Jessica Mazur and I am excited to join CELA as a fifth grade teacher this year. It is amazing to see what God is doing at CELA, and I am honored to be a part of developing our future Christian leaders.
I graduated from UW-Madison in 2003 with a B.S. in journalism and political science. Soon after that, I married my husband David, and had many adventures with him while moving around the country with the Air Force, including living in southern California, northern California, Ohio, and Indiana. It feels great to be settled back home in Wisconsin.
I worked in several capacities in journalism and the corporate world before leaving the workforce to take care of our children, Madeline, Jack, and Annabelle. Now that my kids are getting older and spending more time in school, I felt a strong calling to pursue a second career in education. I completed my Wisconsin teaching license through the Graduate Teacher Certification Program at Concordia University in 2015. I truly believe that God has used my life experiences to lead me where I am today, and I could not be more thrilled.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, attending Badger football games, reading, and being involved at my church.
I am so thankful for the opportunity to teach your children, and I look forward to meeting all of our CELA families.
